  Religious Emblem Program
God and Me Patch   To encourage members to grow stronger in their faith, religious groups have developed the following religious emblems programs. The Boy Scouts of America has approved of these programs and allows the emblems to be worn on the official uniform. The various religious groups administer the programs.

Here are some important things that you need to understand about the religious emblems program:
  • Your Cub Scout leaders are not the instructors.  Scouting promotes religious education; it does not provide it.  Religious emblems training is usually conducted by your religious leader.
  • Parents decide whether or not their boy will participate in the religious emblems program.
  • Parents and their religious leaders help the Cub Scout earn his religious emblem.
  • We do not earn religious emblems as a pack.  We are all different faiths and belong to different congregations.
  • Boys must earn the religious emblem of their particular faith.
  • Earning the religious emblem will be fun for both boys and their families as they work through the program together.
